Why didn't these two men who said they saw something go directly to the police to protect children?
One word.
Pussy.
People want prime pussy. Not run of the mill pussy.
Prime pussy is attracted to status and position, not morality.
Hard to keep your status and position if you don't play the buddy system and go directly to the police.

Not against Paterno, who threatened the redhead's job over coming forth. As evil as Paterno was, these kids have not reached a consensus about him. They have reached a consensus about one man. I challenge you to have 10 kids come forth with sexual allegations against any man unless he is indeed guilty of touching children inappropriately. I never would have leveled allegations against any of the male teachers I had as a child.
