Iran said on Tuesday that it has agreed to India's proposal for a crude payment mechanism under which India will pay for 45% of its imports from Iran through the Indian rupee.

So the title should actually be "45% Rupee and 55% Gold"

At least it is beginning to make sense now. India would certainly have to back with something substantial in order for anyone to accept the rupee on a scale like that.
