Man has near death experience and goes into the future and sees huge robotic cranes building a gigantic flying saucer
I once interviewed a man who had a fascinating NDE during an operation at the Royal Liverpool Teaching Hospital in the early 1980s. Mr Barrett, a 59-year-old Allerton man, was on the operating theatre table as surgeons removed polyps from his intestines, when he suddenly 'woke up'. This phenomenon is known as 'awareness' and is the biggest fear of the surgeon. The patient 'wakes' while under anaesthetic but is unable to move - even to open an eyelid. The patient feels the pain of every incision and can even hear the surgeon's conversations. Luckily, awareness is very rare. On this occasion, Mr Barrett woke up and suddenly had the sensation of soaring upwards, through the ceiling of the operating theatre, up through the floors of the building. He was soon high above the hospital, floating at a great height. Mr Barrett certainly knew he was not dreaming. He had read about such out-of-body experiences, and was overwhelmed when he realised he was having such an experience. Then he noticed another strange thing. When he looked down at the streets of the city centre, there were many buildings he couldn't identify. In nearby Daulby Street he saw a huge store where wasteland was supposed to be, and further along he noticed a glistening mirrored-glass building. This looked like the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Centre - which had not even been built at that time.
The silent cars traversing the roads looked different and more streamlined than normal cars. It soon struck Mr Barrett that what he was seeing was not the present day Liverpool, but some future period. The disembodied patient floated across the city and saw huge futuristic buildings, including a sky scraper that towered over the Albert Dock. Then Mr Barrett saw something which he described as an awe-inspiring sight. Near to the waterfront site presently occupied by Cammel Laird, enormous robotic cranes with mechanical hands were at work building a gigantic vessel which resembled a flying saucer! There were tiny flashes of actinic light as if arc-welders were at work on the titanic ship. Then Mr Barrett felt something pulling him backwards. This is a sensation often reported by people experiencing the latter stages of the NDE state. The Allerton man regained consciousness in the hospital and told his incredible tale about the journey into the future, but most who listened thought he'd experienced nothing more than a hallucination from the anaesthetic while under the knife.

Welcome, and your sarcasm is welcomed also.

Perhaps he went forward into the 4th dimension of time and experienced events yet to unfold. Maybe the giant flying saucer may indicate an alien presence on Earth in the future, and human beings have been either taught to build such gargantuan craft or maybe even forced to maintain them for the ET's?
