Anonymous Coward User ID: 10308257 Australia 02/08/2012 03:16 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | it is just a reflection of the sun on the camera lens! Quoting: OEROE2911 538312 If you speed up the film you will see that the shadow on the ISS is changing at the same speed that this reflection on the lens does. sorry, but no UFO. lol yes a lense flare that paces the iss and stays right on the horizon almost out of view, not to mention the other individual lense flares moving under their own power. Interesting physics going on there. |

Celt User ID: 9888079 United States 02/08/2012 03:22 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Could be anything. Just wanted to throw something out there for speculation. First, I'm located in Idaho currently. A few nights ago when I was taking my puppy outside, I noticed in the west (not sure exact direction, but generally west) a very bright star, and I see this every night, so I assume it is Venus. Ok, but a few nights ago, I saw another star set a bit lower, and it was even brighter, almost a reddish light. Over the course of the night, it sank lower and lower over the horizon. I wondered if it was just a star I hadn't noticed before, but I kept thinking that I always thought venus was brightest... anyway, it has not reappeared since that night, and I keep looking for it. I wish I would have snapped a pic so someone with more knowledge of the stars could verify what this star was, or if it isn't a star at all. Anyone else see something like this lately? I think the first time I saw it that night, it was around 9 or 10pm. Very bright, much bigger than all other stars, seemed odd. I even mentioned it to my husband, to see what he thought, but he's not as observant as I am. |
