heart is where your soul resides.

That's not a world first they have been making these things for decades none of them work for long however.

Don't be silly your soul or whatever it is resides in the tiny electrical signal in your brain and heart, Once that electrical signal ceases to be in your body you cease to be.

Now imagine incrementally replacing the rest of his body with electro-mechanical parts. Including replacing the brain with silicon switching devices.

and you start wondering if consciousness itself might be an eternal field. We identify ourselves with the ego which dies eventually and it is the ego that we cling onto. All our experiences and memories which give us a sense of identiy make us believe we are those memories, but is that perhaps just an illusion?

I personally couldn`t imagine having a mechanical heart. Fear of death has reached such an absurd level that it makes us cling hard to life, even if it means that we become more machines than humans...

It will become evident down the road why the human physiology requires a beating heart.

But for now the doctors who think they're God are having their fifteen minutes of fame.
