This meme about the Constitution being old and out-dated is solely to dissuade the "youngins" from reading it. Make it sound as "boring" as Shakespeare, and as hard to understand as Chaucer, and no one will want to read it, let alone embrace it.

Why do you think the .gov is arming the drug gangs and cartels in Mexico ? Who do you think is going to suppress the american public when the military is in turmoil about doing it ?
THAT is Barry's "New Civilian Army, just as well armed, trained and funded as the regular one" !

If it is losing it's appeal with other nations, it is only due to the fact that WE aren't living by it.

Who wants to become like us now? NOBODY.

The New York Times has always been a government mouthpiece anyway, don't read that rag.

It has been for almost 100 years.

Re: NY TIMES- CONSTITUTION LOSES APPEAL
The constitution has been dead a long time.

There is no three branches of govt.

There is no first amendment which says: Congress shall make no law prohibiting the free exercise of religion. Bibles have been banned (i.e. prohibited) from state schools for 50 years! The state brainwashes the citizenry.

After the US becomes majority Muslim and they want the Koran in schools they will do that, and should, but as long as Christians are majority we have that right too.

Free speech?

Free speech is being used to spread violent revolution which DOES need to be restricted. While other speech is either censored or restricted more and more.

Second Amendment has been chipped away.

fourth is completely gone

Ask any legal scholar and a large majority would say the same. The constitution is old and outdated. It's time for a new one.

Bullshit.. you commit treason just saying that..

the framers even said this would happen.

the constitution is the only thing that protects us from our corrupt government..

the only reason other countries aren't looking towards the constitution, is because those countries have been taken over by the now elite, who are trying to phase out our constitution

Re: NY TIMES- CONSTITUTION LOSES APPEAL
OP,

The status of citizens protected by their governing state constitutions were slowly stripped away by the federal municipal corporation that people call their country.

In other words, people are fighting over a document that they are not protected by because the Federal Corporation can do pretty much anything it wants to any of its employee/citizens so long as they put on a good Act and keep the show running and keep sheople guessing, submitting, voting, applying for membership in the club and all the club benefits, etc.

The greatest problem is that U.S. Citizens still think they are free and that the Constitution applies to them.
If they really thought about that for a moment, they would know in their hearts that they have no such protection.

The Republic has been forsaken!

Don't believe it?
