Pure h2o is dangerous to drink and tastes bitter. Why is it dangerous? because water is such a good solvent. It will quite literally suck the minerals (like salt) from your body and retain it. If you had any physics/chemistry you know that a lower solute concentration equalises with a higher solute concentration.

This is why the U.N. advices against it. It's because of physics.
