Do polling locations affect the vote? -- Where was your polling location held?
I've lived in a few different areas here in Missouri and somthing I've noticed through the years is that my polling location is almost always a predominatly white church. It was an elementary school once, but usually churches.

I've wondering if this affects the vote? I mean Santorum did win Missouri.

I would think most of the members of these churches come into church to vote since it is a easily accesible, familiar place for them.

Is there anywhere I can find a full list of polling locations per state?

Do you think the polling locations affects the vote?

Do you think more religious people turn out to churches?

Where did you go to vote?

No!
Here is a list of 8 things to look for when trying to identify false flag psychological operations.
1. Staged events usually receive immediate national news coverage
2. There is a political agenda behind the coverage (gun control)
3. The incident inspires intense emotions (Dead kids)
4. Initial media reports conflict eyewitness accounts
5. No dead bodies are shown to the public
6. Celebrities are used to influence the public
7. Presence of mainstream media manipulation tactics
8. The Federal Government give attention to a local story

Question Everything.

I've ALWAYS voted at a public school.

This is the first I have heard of any house of worship (church, mosque, or synagogue) being used as a polling place.

Yes, I could see how the place where you cast your vote could sway you one way or another on how you vote.

It seems plausible that a polling place that happens to also be your place of worship where you are a member of the congregation could exert some influence on how you vote.

A GOOD question to ask is if ALL Americans live reasonably close to a public school (elementary school or high school), WHY would a house of worship EVER be chosen as a designated polling place?

We have several in our town, mine is at the catholic church. You can't go where you want, though....it is based on your precinct. The town is broken up into precincts and each precinct has a different polling location. Some around here are at city buildings, one at the Eagles club? Several at churches.

Thing is, in small towns the only buildings big enough are churches. And our schools aren't big enough to accommodate the students and voters. Not to mention, if my kids went to school I wouldn't want the whole town running in and out all day while my kid was there.

I have lived in many small towns too and I do know what you are saying.. However most small towns have community buildings or centers, places where they go to play bingo and throw parties, etc..

Also, what about grocery stores or shopping centers and malls? Seems that most people know how to get these places and I don't see how it would be bad for business.

I think in most cases there are many other options available.

Spirituality is the opposite of religion, religion is a substitute for spirituality. Spirituality is a direct connection to Creator The Most high. Love Not Fear!

I think we have a very different definition of small towns! We don't have shopping centers, malls or community centers! We do have two grocery stores but there is no way they could put a polling station in them.

LOL.. My definition of a small town is about 2,000 people or less. The smallest town I've lived in was Shamrock, MO.. population 15.. I think.. and no, Shamrock did not have any of those things either but the nearest small town of 800 does have community centers, stores, etc..

I wonder if there is connection between the precincts that Santorum won and those that use churches as polling places?

Nope, our town of 5000 doesn'tt have anything like that. Nearest shopping centers are 15-20 minute drive. People aren't going to go that far to vote.

I really don't understand why standing in a church is going to affect how someone votes. That makes absolutely no sense to me.

It's not standing in a church that will affect the vote.

Its the fact that the normal patrons and church goers to that church will most likely have a higher turn out and will often vote very similarly to one another.

That's why I would love to see a list of polling places in Missouri and compare that list to how the votes were cast.. would be very interesting.

Wow.. A person could make a killing by building a grocery store in your town then..

My hometown is just over 2,000 people and we have 2 large grocery stores, and some smaller ones. A very large department store, a couple dollar stores, 4 gas stations, and a bunch of fast food places. Plus many other large buildings that serve as community centers or fair grounds..etc.

Also, growing up rural I know that a 15-20 minute drive for something really isn't that bad.. we are used to it.

I think you are misunderstanding how polling locations work. you don't choose where you will vote. You are placed into a certain precinct based on your address and each precinct has a polling location. 99% of the people who attend the church I vote at vote somewhere else. I don't vote at my church.

And you are going to get into some discrimination issues if you start forcing people to drive 20 minutes to vote just so voting is not done in a church. There are too many people unable to drive, elderly, etc. or what about people who work an hour south of their town and their polling place would be 20 minutes north of their town instead of down the street from their house?

And.....even if people did choose where they voted.....why would that even matter? I mean, if all the people voting for Obama went to the community center, all the people voting for Romney went to the church.....so what? Isn't everyone still voting for who they want to?
