As the CBS article states, there was a flurry of insider selling back in July.

And what's happened since then?

Markets keep going up.

We're almost back to where we were in 07 as far as the DOW goes.

Now, is the jobs market the same as it was back then... No

Is the housing market as good as it was.. No

Is the National debt better or worse than back then... worse

is the deficit better or worse... worse

All indicators are pointing to things being worse than 07, Yet, the markets are at the same level as they were.

This... is what a bubble looks like.

The market was higher than 13,000 in the beginning of 2008. Epic win it is not. They count on the brain dead who have no memories. ~sigh~

That is my point too, OP, is that the stock market DID go up, just as I expected it would. That's what you're not getting - stock market doom is just one little factor of economic shit-hit-the-fan.

Your amazing stock market rally and pumping up of this bubble is NOT an indicator of overall (and realistic) overall economic health. Rather, the inflating stocks are simply a red flag indicator that we're about to hit phase 2 of what "started" in '08.

As the AC said above, we're about inline with levels seen before the '08 market crash, so it's brewing to be one spectacular bust, yet again. BUT, this time (as everyone shouts recovery, such as yourself, all because of a "stock market") the overall economy and health of the job force is quite anemic. It's VERY sick.

This is one "perfect storm" brewing, and it will not end well.

Gotta agree OP and suggested PIN! My wife is happy again, dog is doing great, kids are on sugar highs, grocery stores are fully stocked and prices dropping everyday. My 401K is looking mighty healthy, stock market up daily, my portfolio looks amazing. Looks like the recovery is fully here and it's time for America to get rich again. I'm strong and very proud of our leader right now
