Of course hell is real, it says so in the bible and also the Apocrypha. Heaven is also real.
We either go to one place or another when we die.
The only question is, is hell forever? I don't think so because at the end death and hell are thrown into the lake of fire, I believe hell is destroyed. Not sure tho.
