My own personal thoughts and conjecture: Who conquered Babylon? Cyrus I did, as a hammer in the Hand of the Lord. I find it interesting that the Mede-Persian empire is fairly relevant in the prophecies of Daniel 7, as well as those found in the Book of Revelation. Does history repeat itself? Will it?
