Gaddafi son warns of uprising in Libya

Saadi Gaddafi, the fugitive son of late Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi has warned of a growing uprising against the ruling NTC government in Libya.
In a phone-interview to Al-Arabiya news channel, he said that he is in touch with many tribes, militias and people in the transitional council, stressing that 70 per cent of Libyans are not happy with the current situation in the country.

“There will be a great uprising in the south, in the east, in the center and in the west. All the regions of Libya will witness this new popular uprising," he said. “The NTC is not a legitimate body ... and is not in control of the militias.”

Last month the loyalists of the ousted regime staged an armed revolt against the NTC’s authority and took control of former Gaddafi stronghold of Bani Walid. Saadi Gaddafi, the third son of Colonel Gaddafi, fled to Niger when NTC forces captured Tripoli in August.
