Last Edited by Marax on 02/11/2012 06:59 PM Gun control is like trying to reduce drunk driving by making it tougher for sober people to own cars. I'd like to go quietly in my sleep, like grandpa did. Not screaming in terror like the people in the back seat of the car he was driving. |

Quoting: Psych Maybe. I think most people vote on the basis of what they can get out of it. For myself, I try to examine what I think the country needs at this time, and then vote for the person who has the best plan and follow-through to address those things. We become like that to which we are devoted. - Choose wisely. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 9680497 United Kingdom 02/11/2012 07:09 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | What use is democracy when people vote for people based on what they look like? To be fair this isn't a situation unique to America. I think most people in the UK vote on the grounds of whether they think the party leader is good looking and charming enough for them, which is really about useful as voting for someone based on their race. |

(ie. tesla versus edison) one of many examples. religions win out because one demiurge is more popular than the next. it's the Human story everywhere you go! all a popularity/tribal condition. |

Sounds like a good plan but I would highly recommend focusing on their track records as appose to their campaign slogans. Their slogans, ughu ughu, sorry, plans rarely materialize after they are actually elected. You might remember that Bush and Obama both shared a lot of the same slogans. Both failed to follow up on them. |

Burt Gummer User ID: 7702124 United States 02/11/2012 07:20 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Samuel L. Jackson only voted for President Barack Obama because of the color of his skin, the Hollywood actor revealed in a profanity-laced interview in the March issue of Ebony magazine. Quoting: TXGal4Truth “I voted for Barack because he was black. ’Cuz that’s why other folks vote for other people — because they look like them,” Jackson said. “That’s American politics, pure and simple. [Obama’s] message didn’t mean sh-t to me. In the end, he’s a politician. I just hoped he would do some of what he said he was gonna do. According to the New York Post, the “Pulp Fiction” legend repeatedly dropped the N-word during his cover story interview. “When it comes down to it, they wouldn’t have elected a [bleep],” Jackson said. “Because, what’s a [bleep]? A [bleep] is scary. Obama ain’t scary at all. [Bleeps] don’t have beers at the White House. [Bleeps] don’t let some white dude, while you in the middle of a speech, call [him] a liar” — an apparent reference to Rep. Joe Wilson’s “You lie!” outburst during Obama’s health care address to a joint session of Congress in 2009. Jackson continued, “A [bleep] would have stopped the meeting right there and said, ‘Who the [bleep] said that?’ I hope Obama gets scary in the next four years, ’cuz he ain’t gotta worry about getting re-elected.” [link to www.theblaze.com] ...and they call us the racists??? 90% of the black vote went to Obama in 2007/2008 elections. Samuel RACIST Jackson is not the only one. |

He'll vote for a thousand white liberals before he or similar leftists (and Hollywood is full of them) will put a black Republican into the presidency. |
