Isn't it ironic that the first purely monetary revolt of our current age is also in very land in which the notion of democracy was first developed?
Comedically, the PM Lucas Papademos has stated "This vandalism, violence, they have no place in a democracy and will not be tolerated. At this critical time, we don't have the luxury of such conflicts."
Ummm...isn't it more accurate that democracy "isn't about" the leaders of a nation ignoring the voices of the people? Isn't a "lack of luxury" precisely why Athens is burning?
Fucking politicians and their cake, huh?
