Ready for it?

Around this time in 3114 BCE the people of earth began to notice changes in the environment.

Later in the year There where great earth quakes and movements of continents.

The sun was at a great peak of violence.

The climate and magnetic field on earth fluctuated greatly.

Much life on earth ended.

Some humans did actually survive this,though most of what they had created was lost and many perished.

The cause of all the destruction was not some dark star or rouge planet.It was our position on the other side of a great magnetic belt in the milky way.This belt protects us from the gravitational field of a medium sized black hole(roughly 5 times the gravity of our sun). We can not see it,nor can we feel the effects of it thanks to our position on the other side of this great magnetic band of space protecting us.

Every 34,000 years we pass through and above this belt for a period of 3 years.The first year we notice some effects as we slowly pass through the belt losing most of the protection it provides.

The sun also feels the tug of gravity from the black hole,as do asteroid in the Kuiper belt.The middle year is chaos.Massive changes in climate,fluctuations in gravity,continental shifts,volcanic activity,solar activity will cause devastation and shifts in our magnetic field.Much of the life on this planet is destroyed during this time.Over and over again.But we will survive,at least some of us.

By the end of the third year we are safely back on the far side of the magnetic belt,and again protected from the gravitational effect of this black hole.

The Atlantians prepared and survived the first cycle and rebuilt.They did not heed history though,and did not survive the last time.Having lost control of there main power supply which led to a massive explosion,and almost wiped them from history.The Atlantians where also greedy,they did not help other humans recover after the first cycle.The second cycle had an almost complete loss of all human knowledge gained in over 80,000 years.

We are entering the first year of this three year period.

The effects are already starting to show.The next three years will test human ingenuity,will,and will determine the next 34,000 years.

Let us hope when we rebuild history is not forgotten again.
