Re: I am a 3rd Degree Master Mason, ask me a question...
hey can you guy's fix my chimney, it needs some work.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 10688507

LOL, I'm sure there are a lot of working stone masons that are also Freemasons out there. At least you would know your getting an honest price and good work!

I understand Free Masonry (except for a few top Luciferians), is nothing more than a Mickey Mouse fan club for Lucifer. You get a badge and a pin and membership dues. Then you are available as a useful idiot if duty every calls and they need a shooter.Idol1
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 3085519

There is nothing Luciferian about Freemasonry. Absolutely NOTHING!

How does the prospect of eternity in hell look to you?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 10671323

I will not be spending an eternity in hell. I am true to the father, as well as follow the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Is there such a thing as "try before you buy" with Freemasonry? What if I'm interested enough to check them out and go to a meeting, but I don't want to commit before?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 9919572

Well, kind of. You can attend a dinner, possibly an open house. My lodge will be conducting an open house this coming summer. The uninitiated will be allowed to come into our lodge, into the main hall and see what it's all about.

Once again, we are starting to open the doors of Freemasonry, to combat the nasty stereo types that the internet has created.

Just do a google search for a lodge in your area, and give the secretary a call. If you can not find one, message me here and I will do some research for you.

Re: I am a 3rd Degree Master Mason, ask me a question...
If I become a Mason, say tommorrow how much money will I have to pay yearly?I was actually asked to join(even though I don't think a Mason is supposed to ask),seriously inquiring.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1407188

Well, lodge dues vary from lodge to lodge. You would have to pay for one years dues, (usually pro-rated) a background check to see if your a felon, (felons aren't accepted) and then you would be good to go.

Masons can now ask outsiders if they would be interested in joining. Usually the ice is broken with an invitation to dinner at the lodge.

Seriously, whenever there are mason bashing threads, I chime in to quell the ridiculous assumptions made of our fraternity..

So I will open up my heart and mind to you, ask a question, and ye shall receive.
 Quoting: Archaic Mason

you're obvious mislead, do you not remember when over HALF the masons left the organization? Why did millions leave?

Don't try an spread your bull-crap here, it's on record many times over of what goes on in the highest of levels.

Maybe you guys should look more into your leadership and investigate to see if it's been hi-jacked or if you're following blindly into Lucifer the "light".
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 9464517

There has been many anti-mason time periods throughout history. There was even an anti-mason political party at one time in the United States.

I'm not saying there hasn't been negative things associated with the craft, but a few bad apples can not possibly spoil the bunch.

When do they reveal the keys to the ciphers and how to apply them to the texts?

I have no idea what you're referring too.

Aren't you killed if you relay information from your cult?
Or is that just from the olden days?

 Quoting: Jonathan101

If you seek wisdom that has been accrued through many, MANY ages... Then you might find yourself a good fit for the lodge.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1549020

I thought you had to be invited, not just walk into a lodge and say I want to join.

Nope, I located a local lodge. Called the secretary, said I wanted to join.

He invited me to a dinner, I filled out my petition of membership, and I was initiated the following month.

Ok,

3 things:

1.) If what Masons "teach" is secret, but anyone can join, why is it secret? What is the point?

2.) What does the "G" stand for in the Mason symbol and why?

3.) Why all the Masonry stuff with Washington DC, the dollar bill, and the founding fathers of the U.S.A? What was the point? Power?

Thanks.
 Quoting: TheDude99

1. Our rites and rituals are secret. Not anyone can join. You must be a male, of 21 years of age, and a clean background. (No felonies)

2. God, Geometry, Grand Architect of the Universe.

3. Freemasonry believes that men should have the right of free thinking, and free speech without the oppression of the church. Back in the old days, the church held immense power. If anyone said the earth was round, or the earth revolved around the sun, you were considered a heretic.

The lodge provided a safe haven for free thinkers and the like, hence the creation of a nation with separation of church and state.

Hiram Abiff, for instance, is a messiah figure. The point being ANY messiah will do, that there is no absolute truth. This will lead you and others to support Muslim immigration, as they do. A suicidal agenda.

Freaky stuff, imo...

I've heard some really awful things that masons have done to their ex-wives and ohers... Bugging her house, mental tricks, voodoo-type dolls, manipulation, a crowd of them in robes in her back yard chanting at night. There is def more going on with this organization. After all, an organization so steeped in secrecy and cryptic notions cannot be all good. Would a loving ascended master like Jesus, Buddha, etc create an organization based on secrets and exclusivity? I don't think so.

And, lastly, my gut feel is that the highest of the high ranks really know the true secrets and just let the lowbies in on the basic stuff. It allows them to truly "hide in plain sight'.

Re: I am a 3rd Degree Master Mason, ask me a question...
I'm still trying to figure out why this is important. I mean, quite frankly, the only people who seem to give a shit about the institution are the Freemasons themselves or the online hoard of Antimasons that haunt them. In all that, I am Switzerland, you know?

It's like, you enjoy being a Freemason, that's great, go give yourself a pat on the back, you don't need me for that. Or, you hate the Freemasons for being evil corrupt bastards, then boo-hoo grow up, the world's an ugly place.

As far as I can tell, the only reason this "Ask me a question..." thread caught my attention is because there must be some knowledge or information rattling around my brain that would be of benefit to either the Freemasons or the Antimasons. I'm not sure I'm comfortable with that, especially when there doesn't seem to be any incentive for me to bother discerning which is which.

Except: One is willing to keep the knowledge/secret, the other is willing to expose the truth/lies...

So, my next question has to be: If I, as a non-member, offered to share my as of yet unfinished ideas with a Lodge group, what reaction should I expect of them?

Thanks. But why the symbology everywhere? Isn't that kinda like putting a religious (organizational) stamp on a dollar bill or in Wasington, DC?

This guy has a theory, and if he is right, then why keep it all cryptic and secret!? That is just more annoying and juvenile than anything else... Unless, of course, it has real power to it...

Also, why things like the two giant pillars with hands on top of them out front of the IRS building in Kansas?

There is nothing Luciferian about Freemasonry. Absolutely NOTHING!

So have you decided to pursue more knowledge available to those within the Scottish Rite yet?
