I have a question:

Which is better, the original Charles Dickens, or Bill Murray's "Scrooged"?
 Quoting: OooThatTickles

I am partial to Bill's comedy, so I would have to say Scrooged.

I know a few Masons really well. I'll sometimes try and get them on certain subjects pertaining to the mystery schools, and they act stupid. I asked one supposed 32 degree Mason what he thought the checkered floor in his lodge meant, and he responded that it represents the battle between good and evil! lol I kind of threw in there that it represent the duality of the universe, and it kind of caught him off balance. Said Mason also had no idea who Albert Pike was, supposedly. Part of me thinks these guys are full of shit, but part of me thinks it depends on what lodge a Mason is a part of. I think some lodges move men up the ranks arbitrarily because they know that time is running out for this current system and they are just conning these idiots to get money out of them. The one mason I mentioned kept referring to how all he has to do is keep his membership fees paid and he was in like Flynn. I noticed it only took you six months from your initiation to attain a level three. You're probably just a Blue Lodge flunky. I guess I could ask how to get out of a parking ticket, or how to get into the Shriner's Circus for free; but that's about it.

Trust me, after this system fails, and we live in a mad max type scenario.

If your still alive at that point, chances are you'll be going to a lodge to find shelter or food.

That's what we have done throughout the ages. Provide safe passage and safe haven to travelers, even if they aren't masons themselves.

If I were to ever meet that Master Mason in question, I would have to question his ideals, and ask why he joined the lodge if he would be spreading lies about our very special fraternity.

but not the highest in the Scottish Rite.

The Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry (the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction in the United States often omits the and), commonly known as simply the Scottish Rite, is one of several Rites of the worldwide fraternity known as Freemasonry. A Rite is a series of progressive degrees that are conferred by various Masonic organizations or bodies, each of which operates under the control of its own central authority. In the Scottish Rite the central authority is called a Supreme Council.

The thirty-three degrees of the Scottish Rite are conferred by several controlling bodies. The first of these is the Craft Lodge which confers the Entered Apprentice, Fellowcraft, and Master Mason degrees. Craft lodges operate under the authority of Grand Lodges, not the Scottish Rite. Although most lodges throughout the English-speaking world do not confer the Scottish Rite versions of the first three degrees, there are a handful of lodges in New Orleans and in several other major cities that have traditionally conferred the Scottish Rite version of these degrees.[1][2]

The Scottish Rite is one of the appendant bodies of Freemasonry that a Master Mason may join for further exposure to the principles of Freemasonry. In England and some other countries, while the Scottish Rite is not accorded official recognition by the Grand Lodge, there is no prohibition against a Freemason electing to join it. In the United States, however, the Scottish Rite is officially recognized by Grand Lodges as an extension of the degrees of Freemasonry. The Scottish Rite builds upon the ethical teachings and philosophy offered in the craft lodge, or Blue Lodge, through dramatic presentation of the individual degrees.

C'mon brother, you know this.

The Blue Lodge 3rd Degree is the cap stone.

The Scottish Rite, 32nd degree, and everything included below it, is not necessary.

A 32nd degree has no more right or privilege than I, myself, a 3rd degree.

I'm not saying there isn't knowledge to be attained in the higher degrees, but the 3rd is it.

The highest title a man can bestow to man upon the face of this Earth.

Seriously, whenever there are mason bashing threads, I chime in to quell the ridiculous assumptions made of our fraternity..

So I will open up my heart and mind to you, ask a question, and ye shall receive.

Blue Lodge flunky? Well excuse you, I'm not saying all Masons are into esoteric knowledge and the like.

Myself? I am.

Some people join for different reasons. I know why I joined, and I take it very seriously, as most do.

Trust me, after this system fails, and we live in a mad max type scenario.

If your still alive at that point, chances are you'll be going to a lodge to find shelter or food.

That's what we have done throughout the ages. Provide safe passage and safe haven to travelers, even if they aren't masons themselves.

Yeah, flunky. I know that a lot of your lodges have underground bunkers stashed with supplies for that Mad Max scenario, but I highly doubt protocol would allow you to help out any useless eater. Face it, frat boy; the counsel of 300 only use you beer swillers to manipulate and strong arm local politics so they know what's going on, and any real leaders which may arise get sifted out.

Well, profane, I do not doubt that we would take in ANYONE, hungry, wounded, in need. It is what we do. Faith, Hope, Charity.

Council of 300? Not associate with us, but nice try!

Well, any educated person would come to this conclusion...

Israel first strike on Iran's nuclear facilities.

Followed by an amphibious invasion.

World War Three to start.

As far as Galactic Alignment on Dec 21st, 2012, who knows, anything could happen really.

Just prepare yourself, mind, body, soul.
