If I had a million dollars I would go back to school, focus on my art and learning more about art and design and try my hardest to turn that million into ten million so that I may then pay it forward to others in need.

Well a million dollars is a wonderful thing to want to give to someone who is worthy. However what makes one worthy?

In my eyes there a plenty of people who deem themselves worthy of receiving the money in which you want to give. The main thing keeping those people from getting it is themselves. We are all worthy of having a million dollars! Put away the skepticism and the disbelief and make it happen for you now! You are the only one that controls the future you want! Once you get that and REALLY believe that NOTHING will stop you from having it.

I know this thread is a joke - and not a very nice joke because their ARE worthy people out there - and you dont really have a million dollars to give away BUT...


You could cover the cost of a trip to Disney World for a child dying of cancer.

You could pay the mortgage off for an elderly person who is losing their home to a greedy bank.

You could buy a weeks worth of groceries for a single mother struggling to raise her children without financial support from the children's father.

You could donate 3 months worth of operating expenses to the local humane society who is on the verge of shutting down.

You could buy a dependable car for someone who is in need of one, such as a woman who has to take the bus to work each day, which costs her an extra hour or two out of her day that could be spent with her children.

You could buy 6 months worth of food for the local food bank

You could take a homeless person to lunch

You could get the mortgage caught up for a family who is about to lose their home because the company Dad worked for closed down and moved to China.

You could cover the cost of book rental for a needy family

You could buy coats for poor children

You could buy food for poor children

You could cover the funeral costs for an elderly person who's widow can't afford it or for a child who died of cancer and who's family can't afford it.

And if you really dont have a million dollars to give away, or really cant find anyone "worthy", you could volunteer at the local hospital.

Truly there are millions in that situation. Only our Government has been proven to cover all the needy. It would be a drop of water on the Sahara desert if a individual person attempted it. His help wouldnt even dent .001 percent of people.

OP should help his family first or church (spiritual family) or a needy family thru his workplace. I know someone that gave his co workers children, new coats for christmas.
Back to relatives: thats what the Government is realizing, esp in Foster Care, That relatives are the easiest way to go and help out the poor. Im sure everyone has cousins, aunts, uncles. Everyone has a down and out cousin he can help out. ..

I would be happy with 5,000. That would be enough to do what I gotta do. But still wouldn't know what to do with all that money, I would give it to a Cause to help educate people to become Higher Universal Man. That is what I would do.

Start a not for profit community garden and soup kitchen in an inner city neighborhood. You could provide transitory employment for paroled convicts which serves multiple social functions that would draw communities together by doing good for everyone. And getting close to nature is never a bad idea. Feeding the hungry is never a bad idea.
