Quoting: Anonymous Coward 10932303 [link to scienceblogs.com] The caption to the picture reads Held together by not only the incredible gravity of all of our stars, but by dark gas and dust far outweighing all the stars, and by trillions of suns worth of dark matter as well, our galaxy represents one of perhaps a hundred billion just like it in our vast Universe. Our little planet is just one tiny speck in the Milky Way galaxy. In turn, the Milky Way is just a speck in our vast universe. And who knows how many other universes exist out there. An infinite number, according to some. Anyone who thinks that ours is the only inhabited planet in all this, well, not using their noodle, in my humble opinion. There are probably hundreds of billions of civilizations out there. So I'm wondering what sort of Greater Power all these folks, or creatures, or highly advanced beings of who knows what sort of type believe in. Or not. Anybody care to offer their input? Who or whatever they revere, I sure do hope they're not as crazy about it as we are. This is the only FALLEN world in all of creation. This is where Satan was cast, and resides. All other worlds worship the one true God of all creation. They still have a face to face relationship with the Father, as thy re not corrupted by sin. I don't expect you to accept this, no matter how true it is, due to your obvious agenda. |

It's a FOX copyright thing) Much better than the remake. The idea is what's important, not the whiz bang special effects. I've been waiting for this guy to show up one day, before we obliterate ourselves. So here's this guy flying around the galaxy, visiting the baboons, helping them climb down from the trees, or making them go bye-bye if they don't want to grow up. Think about what sort of reception we'd give him if he landed in Washington tomorrow. Because we haven't learned anything since the 50's. We've gone backwards if anything. He's Jesus, really. He's the modern day movie version of Jesus. I think we based our Jesus on somebody just like this. We didn't know what to make of him, so we morphed him into something we could comprehend. But we didn't take the lesson to heart. Luckily he didn't make us go POOF! the last time. Next time might be a different story. |

Once there is knowing about how life works, the crap that is religious organizations stops. Science WILL PROVE the SOUl and for a time people programmed in the slop will reject it. |

Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 10932303 United States 02/16/2012 08:50 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | OP I love to ponder this one also. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 5141990 are we really just lab rats in an experiment? did they drop different bibles/religions down to earth just to screw with us? Here's something to ponder on. This is just an example. There's more of those out there if you want to go searching. Think on this one. WE NEVER DIE. We just get "born again" (or whatever you want to call it) like the kid in the video. And it doesn't have anything at all to do with what organized religion makes it out to be. We just NEVER die. That's it. We just keep coming back. In this galaxy, some other galaxy, another universe, whatever. We just keep coming back. Why we don't remember any of it, I haven't figured out yet. But I'm working on it. |

A more advanced alien society could: A) Become scientific theists, finding God in certain aspects of the Universe, energy, etc. B) Reject the notion of God C) Actually found a way to prove the existence of God and/or came into contact with God |
