Two cases of Mad Cow Disease in same county in California!
A California woman has died and another resident is sick after coming down with Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, a rare and fatal condition that swiftly destroys the brain.

The Marin County Department of Public Health is investigating the two cases, which are thought to be unrelated.

[link to abcnews.go.com]

This is an absolutely horrible way to go. Prions are not a bacteria, nor virus, but rather a protein crystal formation that causes your neurologic tissue to crystalize. Always fatal. It is very rare, and unusual to have 2 cases in the same county at the same time.

ha, ha, I saw that typo, fixed it.

This is serious shit. I've taken care of these patients, and they die within a month, the most agonizing death you can imagine, and nothing you can do for them.

Wow, a pin! Thanks!

Now, 40 years after writer Kurt Vonnegut imagined Ice-9, researchers think his creation is the perfect analogy for the renegade proteins that destroy the brains of people infected by the human form of mad-cow disease.

[link to www.wired.com]

I read a quote from Kurt Vonnegut several years ago when Mad Cow researchers contacted him to ask about the similiarity of ICE-9 to the prions that cause Mad Cow Disease. I'm going to have to look through a medical text for the exact quote, but the gist of it was "I can't believe it took this long for it to happen."

The last patient I took care of with Mad Cow disease contracted it 18 months (the usual incubation period) after having a major bowel surgery, where it is likely instruments were used that had previously been utilized to perform a brain biopsy on a patient with Mad Cow disease.

Sterilization will not kill prions, and brain biopsies are no longer performed on living patients suspected of having Mad Cow disease, to prevent the spread of the disease.

The disease IS confirmed by brain biopsy performed in the autopsy room.

In my opinion, most cases are caused by contaminated surgical instruments.

They ate the same dead cow corpse ! and the cow ate halogenated fish oil prion molecules ..

self reparing scratch proof paint developed by nasa
along a series of halogen based oils it contains.

this enter cow food suply and cause prions to form spoge like tumors in brain , sinse this prions are artificial self duplicating molecules they act as an infection , they survive temperatures up to 900 degrees F so are near imposible to destroy ..

This is a first of its kind revelation from celestial (Anonymous Movement II ) .

Mercola says it can lie dormant for up to 30 years:

The findings of the inquiry into a cluster of variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (vCJD) cases -- the human version of mad cow disease -- suggest the fatal disease has an average incubation period of 30 years and may claim thousands or tens of thousands more victims.

I do that once it goes active, the patients I have taken care of are dead within a month. Wide awake, unable to talk, and look to be in agony the whole time with distorted body movements that no medicine seems to help.

I thought post-mortem autopsy was the only way to conclude CJD....? So with my ignorance stated, how is it confirmed that another is sick with it?

Have they tied any history between the two yet? Meaning, I know they are related but separate cases, has it been found that they had steak dinner in the UK in the 90's, or traveled to Canada/Washington before it was exposed "downed cows" were being processed through the system?

True, and a former military service person that was stationed in Europe between 1980 and 1996, cannot donate blood because the disease could have a long incubation period.

Does living in Europe prevent you from giving blood to wounded troops?

The Armed Services Blood Program does not allow troops, their families and Defense Department civilians to donate blood if they lived in Europe during certain times. The rule is designed to stop the transmission of variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, the human form of “mad cow disease.”

“It troubles me that I cannot support our military by giving blood,” Kiessling said in an e-mail. “Is that true for life, or is there a way to be ‘reborn’ as a blood donor?”

And this is why the FDA won't allow ranchers to even test their herds (even if they want too) with Kits that look for this. Because they know that if a cow or steer has mad cow disease, then the whole herd must be killed and whatever herd that was in contact with it also. It's all because of the dollars and the willingness of the US to be bought out by big corp interests to make sure that there 100,000 herd or bigger won't go up in flames.

The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. Thanks for the link. Whatever the form, it is still a prion disease with the same outcome. Notice they emphasize it is not related to the food chain.... I tend to believe the opposite of the official talking points.

The second person has the symptoms; they won't be able to confirm it until autopsy. It is pretty easy to diagnose - nothing else looks like it. I've seen about 5 cases in 33 years. There is a national prion disease laboratory where the brain specimens are sent - they confirm the presence of prions.

We have seen the deer affected by "wasting" disease in the Applegate hunting region in our area. Could this be the same thing? Hunters are told to call Fish & Game. They collect the teeth and send it in to a lab.
