The Way Back - Peter Weir Film about an escape from the Soviet GULAG
Has anyone seen this film? Peter Weir is a legendary Australian film director responsible for, among others, The Dead Poet's Society, The Last Wave, The Year of Living Dangerously, The Mosquito Coast and one of my personal favorites - Picnic at Hanging Rock.

I never heard of this film until I saw it at my local DVD store. It portrays the GULAG slave labour camp system set up by Ashkenazi Matvei Berman in all of its harsh reality with many of its victims actually foreign communists who came to the Soviet Union to "support the revolution."

Best line:

"We are not criminals. We are escaping from criminals."
