Did the Mayan see a end to their calendar based on a **Scriptual Event* If those days were not shortened
MATTHEW 24:22

If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened.

The 360 Day Year, the Exodus, the Mayans and Calendar Chaos

How long was the original year? Was there ever a 360 day year?

Was time and the length of the year changed during human history?
What happened? What does ancient history and the Bible reveal?
Whyy is the “prophetic year” 360 days in length? When did the year and calendar change? Here is shocking new revelation about the consequences of sin and rebellion against God and His laws!

Here’s a new look at the ramifications of the Exodus!

[link to www.triumphpro.com]

It is a documented historical fact that every nation and people on earth in 701 B.C. adjusted their calendars from a calendar year of 360 days to the year to a calendar year of 365.2422 days to the year.

Obviously, this was necessary because the orbit of the earth had slightly “changed” just enough to add 5.2422 days to the length of time it takes for the earth to make one orbit around the Sun.

Let’s make it simple! 2,520 divided by 7 equals 360.

It sure looks to me like the Lord God is going to change the orbit of the earth during the Tribulation period, bringing earth’s orbit back to a 360 day year, exactly as it was in ancient times. Is that possible?

Look again at Isaiah 13:13, “Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the Lord of hosts, and in the day of His fierce anger.”

And again in Isaiah 24:18-20, “…...the foundations of the earth do shake. The earth is clean dissolved [broken up], the earth is moved exceedingly. The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again.”

Both of these Scripture passages plainly indicate that during [or perhaps right at the beginning of] the coming Tribulation period the earth is going to be moved out of its present orbit. The Lord God will slightly “change” the orbit of the earth once more so that it will revert back to a 360 day year. 360 is the number of degrees in a perfect circle. The Lord God of Heaven is perfect in all His ways, Deuteronomy 32:3-4; 2 Samuel 22:31; Psalm 18:30.

SCIENCE STILL DOES NOT UNDERSTAND....

Global Climate Change: Effect of the Earth's Orbit
Orbital Variations
Variations in the earth's orbit and inclination toward the sun cause cyclical variations in solar energy received by the earth and on the spatial distribution of solar energy on the earth's surface. The variations are believed to be the cause of historic climatic changes as well as those larger pre-historic climatic changes which are recorded in the geologic record. The predominant climatic effects of orbital variations are changes in seasonality.

The Earth travels around the sun in an elliptical orbit that varies in shape, with time from nearly circular to distinctly elliptical. This, combined with the fact that the sun is not the centroid of the earth's orbit, causes the distance from the Earth to the sun to vary. For instance, the current annual variation of this distance is between 147 million kilometers and 152 million kilometers. The distances can be as much as 142 million kilometers for a minimum and 156 million kilometers for a maximum. The amount of solar energy received by the earth is greatest when the earth is nearest the sun. This phenomenon is called the eccentricity of the orbit and has a 100,000 year cycle. This factor, combined with the tilt of the earth's axis, is believed to cause seasonal climate changes which are out of phase in each hemisphere. For instance, northern hemisphere winters are currently milder and summers cooler than normal. The opposite situation, colder winters and hotter summers, is now occurring in the southern hemisphere.

The earth's rotational axis is tilted with respect to the sun. This is called obliquity and is defined as the angle between the earth's orbit and the plane of the earth's equator. The tilt is toward the sun in the summer hemisphere and away from the sun in the winter hemisphere. The tilt of the earth changes cyclically between 21 3/4 degrees and 24 1/4 degrees. The period of cyclicity is 42,000 years. A large tilt warms the poles and causes smaller temperature differences in the summer hemisphere. The current tilt is 23 1/2 degrees.

As the earth travels around the sun its rotational axis wobbles much as a child's toy top wobbles as it slows down.

The mayan calander is the time is takes for one age to complete.

We just finished the age of pisces and are starting into the age of aquarius.. each age is about 2000-2200 years long, all depending on the natural state of the astrological symbols in the heavens that we can see with our own eyes.

The same thing as buying a new annual calander; besides changing from 2011 to 2011 on the front of the calander, there is also miniscual changes throughout the months, but always ending around 365 days to make a full revolution around the sun.

The same thing for the mayan calander, being how long the age of a constellation, that is it, nothing more!

Here’s a new look at the ramifications of the Exodus!

The Sumerian year was 360 days, plus 5 "empty" days at the end of the year, marking the transition from one year to the next. The Babylonians made the year 355, and had TEN empty days at the end of the year.

The Mayans, incidentally, based their Calendar on the Nippurian calendar, when Ningishzidda travelled to the other side of the world, bringing the Olmecs with him, where he was known as Quetzalcoatl.

The Nippurian Calendar went on the become BOTH the Hebrew calendar and the Mayan Calendar. The Mayan calendar PRE-DATES scripture, so let's just assume that the answer to your question is "No."
