Having a medical device registry is not the same as 'the chip'. Having a registery is a way to track saftey and security issues around these devices. This is a space to watch, but right now, this registery is about tracking device security and safety, not about people themselves.

Much the same way as a drivers license or a social security card is used to help establish identity. The chip will become the norm, and since all other identities made from paper can be stolen or conterfited... only the chip will be acceptable.

on page 1004 it talks about 36 months after the date of the 'enactment.'
