As for policy, our rights here in america are given by our creator, so that the government cannot take them away. So technically God does play a part in our policy. A big part...I don't want a world where our rights are given and taken by Government...I'm tellin ya, be careful what you wish for.

Atheists will spend millions on billboards, when nobody is attacking them! I have never said anything offensive to an atheist, and yet they curse at me all the time.

What is the "logic" of that? (atheists love using words like logic and fallacy, because it makes them feel superior and smarter)

You know? It has always amazed me that someone who claims to be an atheist would go so far out of their way to disprove or be offended by something they don't believe in anyway.

As Americans, Atheists - of all Americans - should be the most tolerant since they aren't really effected by "In God We Trust" or "...inalienable rights given to us by God not men." since they are, after all, just words.

I cringe at fundamentalist Christian theology given my academic background and personal spiritual beliefs, but I don't go around marching to have their right to worship as they wish banned from schools or silly crap like that. I simply respect them as my fellow Americans and my fellow Man - as I have understood so far from my studies into the teachings of Christ Jesus.

I revel in the blissful diversity of culture, religion, philosophies, and all of the things we as Americans may agree to disagree on - yet live and love this country with all of our differences and imperfections.

I've found that sometimes the best thing to do when you don't agree with something like prayer in school, or saying the pledge of allegiance, is to not participate as is one of our inalienable rights. I also exercise my rights by simply changing the channel or walking away with a "Thank you, friend, but I'm going to have to agree to disagree with you on this and wish you all the best on your journey to understanding."

It's really not all that difficult. Really.

You don't have any proof that your story filled with magic and miracles is true.

Magic and miracles have never been verified to be something that actually occurs... that is actually possible.

Why is someone who comes to the perfectly rational conclusion that there probably isn't a god so looked down upon? Why is the mere admission that you don't buy the accepted story grounds for hatred?

Here's the deal... we're smarter than you. Most of us, anyway. We understand the world around us, down to the atoms and quarks. Why do you think the scientists that have pioneered so many beneficial programs are wrong and you, who barely grazed college, are right? It's not because you're stupid. It's because you are ignorant. If you took the time to TRY to understand the basic premise of "reality", you would see how utterly RIDICULOUS all religions are. You don't know. I don't know. I'm not going to make it up because I don't know. You are. Stop it, you're killing us.

If GOD GIVEN RIGHTS didn't exist, as currently denoted in our Founding Fathers documents...
