That animal will probably not be able to be released to the wild now, too much handling...or is it a pet?

It is a licensed sanctuary for orphaned bats. I think they can release them mostly because they are fruit eaters, so they have a system to get them out to the wild in various steps.

Re: Orphan baby Fruit Bat.
I love fruit bats.

We live outside of San Antonio Texas and the Breckenridge zoo used to have a huge room full of the bigger variety of fruit bats, they had very canine faces.
They were my favorite visit to the zoo.

Last year i went back and they were all gone, no more fruit bats at all. I was sad.

I think they either sold them illegally or didn't care for them and they probably died.

I don't go to that zoo anymore. :/

I think ignorance hurts bats. The vampire, sucking blood, or rabies idea of bats. I would help bats any way I could. I love all animals, but something about the bats. Maybe it is their canine faces. I don't know what draws me to them. But they are amazing animals.

Storm, are you going to go to their website and buy a bracelet? I saw on the second video they asked to go visit

Ill buy two bracelets to help support them. They got black ones for men, pink ones for women

In the future Ill see how much I can donate to them, They are forthright and generous, 50 percent of all proceeds go to the bats.

Im steering away from big charities that get political. Know lots of lady friends that will not donate to Susan Komen breast cancer anymore. Those big charities are frauds

I tell everyone I know now to donate to a local animal sanctuary instead
