Good article, but there are some logical errors.
The fact that the geological consequences of 30 years has not had time to manifest itself, does not mean that they will not, and in the near future.
The fact that the climatic consequences ahead of them quite naturally - air and water are much more mobile environment than the earth crust, where the voltage unbalance can accumulate quite a long time before starting to appear everywhere. In addition if we consider the increase in the number of events, we should do it separately for a short period of time - not for 30 years, and over the past 10 years, when the process began to change greatly accelerated. Also clearly would not hurt to include consideration of the 2011 with the Japanese and other events - the year already acknowledged by specialists as an absolutely extreme climatic indicators)

Mount Tongariro, New Zealand
...In its report of July 23rd, GeoNet indicates that in order to better understand the significance of the current earthquakes Mount Tongariro, four portable seismic recorders have been set up on the volcano and sampling of springs and fumaroles have been performed.

Provisional analysis of the gas samples collected at the weekend indicates a marked increase in the volcanic gas component (One can think CO2 and SO2 are concerned). Scientists are working to complete the analysis of the gases and water samples and planning further visits later in the week when the weather improves.

Really a bit weird , wind only 5 m/s now. But absolute value of highest signal also not too big, only 10237 at 19-24

yeah, but it's a consistent rumbling, and if you zoom it up using scroll and ctrl it seems to have a very repetitive, almost harmonic(?) look to it?

i'm going to try and get a sound file off that chart now, but it'll be hard to do. If I manage it I'll post it here.

well, I managed to clean the signal up and this is the Katla chart between 2005-2011 today made into a sound file . It's only 6 minutes long, but it actually gets a lot louder after that, at around 2016-2019. i didn't record that because it would have been pointless, just a constant roar.

On Tuesday, July 24th 2012, VSI again elevated the colour of the alert level of Kawah Ijen to Orange (Siaga) due to an increase in seismicity with several episodes of harmonic tremor. As a consequence, access to the volcano is forbidden to tourists and miners and residents close to the volcano are asked to be watchful as an overflow of the acid lake should not be excluded in that kind of situation.

After a decline last week, seismicity increased again during the week-end on Tongariro, in an area between Mount Tongariro and the eastern side of Lake Rotoraira, at 2-7 km depth. Currently, about 3-10 low-magnitude events are occurring each day. Analysis of fumarolic emissions confirms that volcanic gases are present.

why is there a REGULAR 24 hour cycle of increase and decrease of the 2-4 hertz signal?

is this a mammoth harmonic signal, with a frequency of one full cycle every 24 hours? If so, it must be linked to the rotation of the earth? A tremor CAUSED by the rotation of the earth? On one of the biggest hotspots on the planet?

dunno. seen this signal a few times. it's weird. it can't be the tides, because there are TWO of them every day!

i've just been looking back over my saved images, and this signal STARTED on June 11th, at around 9pm, and has CONTINUED, virtually uninterrupted, since then, just AFTER the large spike shown on this chart..

This seems to be summer traffic and glacier melt. But mostly traffic by cars and people in the area of the seismometer. The pattern is going to change again once the tourist period is over. That is going to be in the next four to six weeks or so.

let's think about this now. what happens every 24 hours? the earth turns one full revolution.

that signal peaks at around 9pm every night.

is there something about our magnetic field that is GRABBING, being attracted to the Icelandic mantle plume, peaking at 9pm every night?
