I think that the main events there could begin with the start of the melt season in Greenland and Iceland. How they will be serious strongly depends on could be compensated for the huge last year loss of ice during winter , or the melt season will begin with a clearly lower level than last year and the loss of volume - weight will only grow more and more.
However, all could begin also earlier - large positive temperature anomalies in the Canadian Arctic yet continues, and in Iceland unusually warm weather...

Just posted a comment announcing the resumption of Strombolian activity at Etna's Bocca Nuova with a link, and the comment has disappeared in the vortices of "awaiting moderation" ... anyway, two of our Sicilian volcanoes are now in eruption: Stromboli is continuing to produce intermittent small lava overflows, and Etna is having its first significant eruptive activity since early October

weather calm. hit 'last few days, and you'll notice earlier today there was almost DEAD CALM over the area. compare it to the katla chart

that black chart, and very calm weather, means one thing and one thing only.

lowest point of the 0.5-1 hertz signal, is no lower than 80 nm/s, 4 times higher than back in May 2011, and has been rising steadily since then, as i pointed out the other day.
