hello, my friend! how are you with your searchs for the correct values fall Strain, which is bound to come eruption? my answer on your question helped you? something you did not respond to it, so I'm asking .... By the way, noticed that vc the day before, when there was that fall, vowed that after the next day will take place several earthquakes near Hecla? why still no and no ?... what do you think ?
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 37687466 [ link to hraun.vedur.is] that page has a few of the precursors to the 2000 eruption. I am sure I read somewhere, maybe on VC I don't know that if the negative strain gets down to the -e+5 range we'll be close to an eruption. I can't remember where I read it though. I'm sure it was Carl who said it, but I might be wrong. I'm still trying to find where i read it. [ link to hraun.vedur.is] at current rates it'll get down to -e+5 area in about 8 days did find this post by Carl.. [ link to volcanocafe.wordpress.com] As mountain strain builds up the likelyhood of earthquakes increase over time.as the strain drops, keep an eye out for earthquakes just found this post by him too.. [ link to www.jonfr.com] -4e+05 is a lot of negative strain. Something is moving, but where and what totally eludes me. But, it was really interesting to see how much the 2.0 at Torfajökull influenced the tremorgraph for the Hekla Borehole graph. I seriously wonder which volcano is causing that imense transient.one thing's certain, these transients are central to any eruption, along with relatively small quakes. be interesting to see if this transient keeps going over the next few days. Also Carl was convinced in this post.. [ link to www.jonfr.com] ..that it would erupt by March 2012, so I don't know.
