well you certainly have the right attitude...

and yeah i think you could, if you ste your mind to it.

anything the human mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.

I know two people that have done it. Their wives got tired of it though. But you're right again Tricky. If we put our minds and hearts in it we can achieve pretty much anything we want. Or at least try it and see if it works out the way we want.

More people should control their fears and give life a try. They might find something they like about it.

i agree 100% cappy.

And just for the record *inserts big grin here* not all wives would "get tired of it!" In fact, there's one here that would absolutely love it!

I hope you don't think I was inferring that all women are like them. Not at all. No way. I probably have met more men that would run kicking and screaming for the closest McDonald's or gin mill after a couple of weeks work in paradise.

Just so you know, one guy was my cousin. He lived in the woods on 600 acres in Minnesota, caught rabbits and fished and built himself an awesome Scandinavian style log house by himself. The kind where the logs are stood vertically instead of stacked horizontally. Problem was he was married to a "city woman" who just couldn't "hang" (NOTHING against "city women"!). The other was a very close friend in Vermont and they had real tough winters. They lived off the grid, but because of finances, she still had to go in to work every day and their driveway was miles long. In both cases things got tough when they got pregnant and they were just too used to the conveniences and amenities of the "modern world".

With your attitude I'd think you'd do great. From what I heard anyway. Maybe we'll be neighbors someday. Trade ya a bucket of tater's for some firewood type of thing...
