That cycle is related to jewelry, both the demand for consumer jewelry and shifts in the major jewelry houses' holdings. Any time I see gold suppressed in the run up to X-mas, I look fir market manipukation by major jewelry business insiders (esp. In India & Far East). I noted that effect this year. It's not at all surprising there is a shift in futures, post-Valentines Day, if we were in a jewelry-insider market cycle for the past few months. The real question is how deep an imoact that jewelry insiders have on the overall market nowadays. Could be rather small, and combine/be dominated by other market players. |
