That was one beautiful service! Thank you, Whitney's Mom, for allowing us this window on the service and for once again forgoing the over the top celebrity route and steering instead straight to GOD.

It was beautiful...just a beautiful ceremony and touching funeral. Although I shed tears throughout, when they played Whitney singing "I Will Always Love You" as the casket was carried by the pall-bearers going down aisle at the end, I boo-hoo'ed and thanked her for her gift she gave us all.

All of the speakers were excellent, especially Kevin Costner (her co-star and friend), Clive Davis (her mentor and dedicated friend), and Patricia Houston (her sister-in-law and manager, and friend).

I live with it daily...

This thread is this is just part of the mind control to entertain you all. The entertainer has passed on. Not a very good role model to say the least.

Them ladies in the nurse outfits are no more a nurse than my hound dog ladybird is. It is for sure a BLACK THANG! That's a good thing for us white folks, huh! I love to go to black folk funerals, been to many of them. they are very entertaning, with all the fainting and folks falling on the casket and all. It's usually a big fat women who faints and falls, sometimes it's a lot of falling out and fainting going on at the exact sametime.I went to a black funeral once and the women dressed as nurses went to jumping up and shouting and fanning their paper fans a million miles an hour!It isn't complete without a paper fan being issued out by the "nurses". they will fan the family members so they dont get so worked up by the service, they dont want them to fall out or faint, but someone always does, it's exciting to see it when it happens!!Black folks know how to get down at the funerals and especially the night before at the "wake", now thta's some hard core party folks there at the wake, been to a couple of them to, lovem!!I think somebody needs to make a reality show from the idea of black folks and funerals, that would be something to see, especially if you have never been to one.Bobby left the funeral, brung 10 people with him, now that was screwed up. Guess he had to bring the crack man and his family.

Well, it was a nice service, but what made it bad is to see the murderer was allowed to speak at her funeral, and had a front row seat, right in front of her casket, close as possible, as a satanic ritual. He is not family, yet he was front row right in front of her. CLIVE DAVIS

She brought happiness to a lot of people---and influenced millions through her music. She wasn't on the level of our soldiers, but you can't really say she contributed nothing to American society.
How about the Star-Spangled Banner singing? nobody has done it better and wkth more true pride. it also helped through the fatermath of 9/11.

They lowered the flags in NJ for sinatra and Count Basie; why not her?

I thought it was AWESOME. I am not a person who gives a crap about celebrity or fame; I do think Whitney was an awesome talent. Her service highlighted the fact that she was, just like all of us, a mortal child of God whom He loves so much. We stumble and He picks us up, and we will stumble some more until we stumble into eternity with Him. I am so impressed that her family didn't let her memorial be some Michael Jackson crap, but that they let the truth of the love of God come straight through.

God did not save here, she dead.

When all is said and done I believe her legacy will be love for God and people and beauty. Only the self righteous will throw stones. My prayers are for her family.

I was wondering, if there was some chemistry between Whitney and Kostner. He said she was his one true love and he wished he could have saved her.
