DId you not ever study American History or the history of the Spanish Conquistadores throughout the southwest, Central and South America?

Between the diseases the white Europeans gave the native Americans in this hemishpere and the slaugher of them, it is a wonder that any survived to our time.

Difficult to say who was more brutal, the Spanish, the French, or the English and German immigrants to this hemisphere. All of them brutalized and killed off tribes to get their lands and their gold in Mexico and Peru.

In the USA, our government has never made a treaty it actually kept even as recently as a few years ago when it stopped tribes from using the US mail to sell cigarettes - a major source of jobs and income for some tribes.

Nor has the US government really held up its end on the tribal lands and reservations. As recently as a few winters ago, the Lakota tribe was completely snowed in with no accesss to heating fuel or food and the US government did nothing to help them.

So it is understandable that Native Americans do not trust the rest of us even tho most of us do respect the tribes and realize that it is our generational responsibility to see to it that our government does right by the tribes.

They are our true American brothers and sisters. Perhaps in time they will see us in the same way.

Nothing at all, the Native tribes have no power only dependency, where the government wants us, out of sight, out of mind and forgotten. Who ever even thinks of or knows anything about the tribes. Erased from view and hidden away so as not to see the plight of the tribes, there-fore no see no guilt.
