Ok so we have two kids and are looking to complete the unit , we have just put a deposit down on an english bull terrier ..
he is real cute , thing is our house is pretty cold and we are go9ing to keep him in the kitchen at night incase he needs to piss and shit ... We are also gona get him a bed to lie on and the floor is vinyl so its not freezing tiles or anything ....
So the point im getting to is , will he need a heater in the kitchen ... but we use a blower heater and it chews electirc for fun .. we need the best cheapest low energy using heaters as poss ... can anyone recommend anything , or would he be warm enough ... i do want him to be comfortable

If the dog is still a pup ..you can do this without having to get electrical heating for him. Make a cardboard dog house and put it in the kitchen..i did exactly that with a few of my dogs. I was recommended this by a vet years ago..the cardboard box will in close his body heat and it will be sufficient and you can put a blanket over the cardboard portion of the dog house..to giver it extra insulation. If the dog is older then 6 months..you probably dont need to do any of that besides a little bed with warm thick fabric making up the doggy bed...that holds heat in it as well. Unless it gets real cold in the kitchen? Remember dogs are able to withstand cold much better then us.
