People go around life chasing chimeras (an illusion or fabrication of the mind; especially : an unrealizable dream) and bumping their heads onto the same hard walls until they die.

My take is that women idealize love and fool their own psyches into believing they want a blue prince, but then in practice they disregard the blue princes when their primal biology kicks in making them lust over the more primitive minded male archetype.
