"You can't have an informed discussion if the science isn't allowed to be communicated"
Very powerful message in this article, one that many people don't even know about.

Speakers at a major science meeting being held in Canada said communication of vital research on health and environment issues is being suppressed.

*snip*

"You can't have an informed discussion if the science isn't allowed to be communicated. Public relations message number one is that you have to set the conversation. You don't want to have a conversation on someone else's terms. And this is now being applied to science on discussions about oil sands, climate and salmon."

*snip*

"I suspect the federal government would prefer that its scientists don't discuss research that points out just how serious the climate change challenge is."

The Canadian government recently withdrew from the Kyoto protocol to reduce carbon dioxide emissions.

So for many years governments around the world began to tell people about global warming, which is a complete misrepresentation of what's actually occurring. Now that they actually begin to understand what science is observing doesn't reflect what they said, they're trying to back peddle and call it instead, climate change. But no one ever speaks about the causes of this climate change, not without brining in bullshit carbon emissions when there are so many more impacting factors involved much greater than our emissions and farts.

Governments around the world got caught perpetuating a lie, because someone lied to them and now they want to cover their asses. Making it harder for journalists to access relevant information and the right people to interview is only making it harder for that information to reach the general population. And by doing so they're allowing people to make decisions and choices based upon beliefs instead of real information. Science needs a better communication process, especially with the technical jargon and complex ideas and such. Science doesn't lie, people do.

The article is about how the Canadian government muzzles its scientists but since it mentions global warming you go off on a typical retarded rant about how fake it is.

You don't know what you're talking about so just shut it.

I know more than you do, by your stupid statement. There is no global warming, that's already been established as a fact. No one is disputing that the climate is changing. Learn to read moran.
