Being the payed asshole on this thread I would say that the Aurora behavior appears to be normal when viewed from earth using the human eye. Those images (which are most likely doctored and haven't been proven to be 100% reliable) show me nothing since I have no control or past data to compare them to. Furthermore I would like to add that the Aurora Borealis effect is typically caused by Earth directed charged ions emitted by the star Solaris interacting with Earths Magnetosphere. Everything to the human eye appears normal, but the images/links presented show something different. They attempt to convey some elevated quantity of charged ions hitting earth. Interesting conflict of data versus the observable results.

If in So Cal I saw Aurora I would be like HOLY SHIT, but I'm not seeing anything. So whatchu talkin bout Willis?
