Well one could take it either way.
The Iranians chest beating saying they have cut off oil sales when in fact the companies themselves have stopped buying.
Or the west blaming them for cutting off oil sales when in reality no one is allowed to buy oil off Iran any more due to UN sanctions.

France and Britain aren't buying a significant amount of oil from them anyway.

According to Wikileaks, Saudi Arabia will begin to run out of oil in 2013.

Now we wait for the economic shock technique via oil/gas prices.

Inb4 Gas prices rise at least another 40-80 cents a gallon.

A new company (third party) will be set up outside of Britain and France to purchase oil from Iran, and the new companies will then on sell the oil (eventually) to Britain and France.

Same thing with embargoes on Iran. Iran will just get a third party, say China or Russia to purchase goods from France, Britain etc and then on sell to Iran.

Just a lot of political paper pushing to be done.

This is just a pr stunt for Iran the uk accounts for 1% od irans oil exports and France for 2% of irans oil exports if they were serious about closing the drain for Europe they would have cut of Spain Italy and Greece which combined account for over 20% of irans oil exports.

Iran simply can't afford to lose this source of revenue till mid this year when the eu embargo comes into action...

Iran is stuck between two hard places, the east, and the west. Iran is tied strongly, economically, and to some cultural degree to the west. The east also has some economic incentives particularly in china. If ever a place looked like Armaggeden it's Iran, because it will be the focalpoint of where east meets west, and each will be seeking dominance over the other.

NYMEX crude oil is near #105.00/brl as of 4:45 PST, Feb. 19m 2012m if what can be seen on CNBC is true. Economies of all nations are being impacted by the rising crude oil prices. If the Western backed oil producing nations like Saudi Arabia are to run out of oil by 2013, then what has gone on in the ME since the beginning of 2011 makes perfect sense. The West wants the crude oil in the Caspian Sea region, but the nations of the Eastern bloc, Russia and China, don't want them to have it. WAR is inevitable.
