Its scare tactics. The life expectancy today, compared to 100+ years ago is high. As much as I'd hate to get blown up as a civilian casualty of war, life was a lot shorter and a lot shittier 100 years ago. I wish people would stop with this attitude of complacency, and war mongering. The simple aspect is there are always going to be crazies in this world, but why is it that America is the only country that has to police the world?
