My argument: While a policy of noninterventionism pursued from the beginning might have well served the interests of the United States, if we were to withdraw from our foreign commitments now, we would not only risk greater damage to ourselves here at home, but we would also be exposing many more people to harm abroad, therefore to do as Ron suggests and bring everyone home would be unwise.

I agree that this does worry me. Not because I think it will put America in more danger at home but because of what could happen if America took their hands out of the pot.
