Quoting: The Seat of Christ on Earth 3767410 Heretics will burn for all eternity unless you come and be baptized in union with the only church sanctioned by Jesus Christ. Jesus was a jewish who lived according to the Torah, He wasn't a Catholic for sure. The rituals and dogmas of the Catholic church are considered idolatry in light of the Torah, so Protestants have done the right thing. Once Maleachi's prophecy about the next pope (he'll be the false prophet) is fulfilled, Jesus will come and destroy the Catholic church. Better late than never! |

There is but one Church in which men find salvation, just as outside the ark of Noah it was not possible for anyone to be saved. St. Thomas Aquinas Just as in one man there is one soul and one body, yet many members; even so the Catholic Church is one body, having many members. The soul that quickens this body is the Holy Spirit; and therefore in the Creed after confessing our belief in the Holy Spirit, we are bid to believe in the Holy Catholic Church. St. Thomas Aquinas I will go peaceably and firmly to the Catholic Church: for if Faith is so important to our salvation, I will seek it where true Faith first began, seek it among those who received it from God Himself. St. Elizabeth Ann Seton The Church has ever proved indestructible. Her persecutors have failed to destroy her; in fact, it was during times of persecution that the Church grew more and more; while the persecutors themselves, and those whom the Church would destroy, are the very ones who came to nothing. . . .Again, errors have assailed her; but in fact, the greater the number of errors that have arisen, the more has the truth been made manifest. . . . Nor has the Church failed before the assaults of demons: for she is like a tower of refuge to all who fight against the Devil. St. Thomas Aquinas Hold firmly that our faith is identical with that of the ancients. Deny this, and you dissolve the unity of the Church. St. Thomas Aquinas |

There is a lot of adultery going on today. Getting married in the RC wouldn't improve anything. Non-Catholics tend to place the Bible above RC or pope, and Bible does not support RC to the honest reader including many ex-catholics. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 2721566 There is but one Church in which men find salvation, just as outside the ark of Noah it was not possible for anyone to be saved. The ark analogy could be applied to the church of God which is certainly not any part of Rome. However, is better applied to the close of probation. Once the door closes there is no more salvation. Jesus said "as it was in the days of Noah so it will be in the end". |

Quoting: maryjane of earth 1028241 There are historic sites showing Catholics hundreds of years ago used to immerse baptism thus "baptism" defined means to totally immerse. This is what the Bible teaches and the example Jesus set. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 3767410 The American Colonies were founded by Puritans who did not observe Christmas or Easter. These days were banned in many states all the way until the Civil War 1860. The Gregorian calender is just a Roman calender and does not affect the days of the week. It certainly signifies Rome rules but still allows freedom of religion in this nwo. |

samanthasunflower User ID: 10905783 United States 02/20/2012 11:27 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It could easily be argued that all Catholics are committing a sin by not being married in a Jewish temple. After all, the Catholic Church wasn't around when our Savior walked this Earth. It wasn't started until several hundred years later. In fact, one of it's first projects was to seek out and murder those who followed our Savior. If you get married in a Church that is built on the blood of the innocent, are you really married in the eyes of God? (Just using the OP's own logic against him. I'm not against good Catholics. Just the one's that voted for Obama.) |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 10194651 Switzerland 02/20/2012 11:28 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Roman Catholicism "A false Church with significant truths" The Fundamental Difference between Protestants and Roman Catholics is this: Rome does not see salvation from start to finish as the work of the triune God alone. Thus, justification before God (salvation) is not through faith alone by God's grace alone, but, as Rome teaches, salvation comes by faith + the meritorious works that a man must do (including unquestionable devotion to Rome and *religious* worship to Mary). There can be no doubt . . . Mary was made mediatress of our salvation. . . . St. Bonaventure says that Mary is called “the gate of heaven because no one can enter that kingdom without passing through her . . . . Go to Mary, for she will intercede for thee with the Son. . . .” (St. Alphonsus Ligouri, The Glories of Mary, 160, 201--see below article on the Catholicism and the worship of Mary). Rome denies that the work of Jesus Christ completely sufficient for salvation. That faith plus meritorious works must be employed for salvation (as Rome teaches) is, according to the Apostle Paul, Christological heresy (cf. Gal. 1:6-8)--it rejects the work of Christ and hence rejects the Person of the Son, Jesus Christ. rest at link [link to christiandefense.org] |
