Jesus was a jewish who lived according to the Torah, He wasn't a Catholic for sure. The rituals and dogmas of the Catholic church are considered idolatry in light of the Torah, so Protestants have done the right thing.

The ark analogy could be applied to the church of God which is certainly not any part of Rome. However, is better applied to the close of probation. Once the door closes there is no more salvation. Jesus said "as it was in the days of Noah so it will be in the end".

There are historic sites showing Catholics hundreds of years ago used to immerse baptism thus "baptism" defined means to totally immerse. This is what the Bible teaches and the example Jesus set.

Practically all Protestants still use the Pope's Jesuit counter-reformation Gregorian calendar and still celebrate Roman Catholic Holidays like Christmas and Easter.
