Big cannon turrets in the front. Two tone stealthy black. Quite a site to be seen. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 10912368 Probably just a normal flight to see if they set of any radars w/ the people. o please |

The two things in the front are for refueling not guns. Spirituality is the opposite of religion, religion is a substitute for spirituality. Spirituality is a direct connection to Creator The Most high. Anyone who inflicts pain on others will suffer themself from that pain. Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil. |

I live on the southern end of Denver and have noticed the helicopters are a lot more frequent recently and even more frequent at night. |

The flight crew opened the floor board and we got to look down like 20,000 feet. It's an amazing machine and capable of a lot of work! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 10912368 Flew in one myself, very comfortable ride for a helo. The Warrant Officers who were piloting kept rolling empty beer cans out of the cockpit into the cabin area. I'm tired of waiting, somebody push the damn button already! Keep your 72 virgins, give me one old biker chick. |

I'm very used to aircraft noises of all kinds and there's always a plane coming in/leaving the airport. I posted a couple of months ago that I saw two chinooks flying directly overhead going west. They were so low that they shook the entire house. I'm not reading much into it since Ft. Carson, Buckley and the AF Academy in the Springs are close, but it's enough that I've noticed. I've also been seeing unusual things in the southern sky in the afternoons between around 2 and 5. There will be a very bright flash of light suddenly where I hadn't noticed a plane before. The flash is so bright that I can't see what the aircraft is and once the flash subsides the aircraft is gone. No noise and I've never been able to spot one a second time after the flash. Probably sun glare playing tricks on me, but it's definitely interesting since I've never seen anything like it until recently. You should try living by Fort Carson if you think a couple Chinooks is out of the ordinary. I see C-130 Hercules and Blackhawks almost daily. I've even been buzzed by Apache's on Highway 115 in the middle of the night. There's nothing like seeing the green glow in the cockpit from their nightvision 15 feet above you and you can't hear or see the chopper until they are right on top of you literally. |

I'm used to lots of air traffic since we live close to DIA and Buckley AFB but we've been seeing and hearing lots of unusual aircraft activity lately. I have noticed that black choppers of all kinds seem to be heading toward the mountains...seems odd because I thought the bigwigs were supposed to hunker down in DIA's massive basement. LOL, you don't have to tell me...I grew up in Roswell! I wish we could head for the mountains, but we're stuck in a seriously underwater house that we couldn't sell if we threw in a trip to Mars. I believe you about the mountains...I've heard things over the years. If the chinooks are hauling supplies/people there as we speak, do you think "it" will be going down soon?
