I think the Bible says that world war 3 happens before the Antichrist rises or Rapture happens. You must mean Armageddon 3 1/2 years later. Everyone is still here when world war 3 starts, it is in Revelation chapter 9 where the Kings of the east kill 1/3 of mankind. That is 2 billion people. That leaves 5 billion to carry on.

Heck America is not even in Bible Prophecy, except maybe Mystery Babylon. Hey maybe that explains everything.
