The first time I heard this song I felt a hypnotic effect and turned it off because you just know listening to it messes with your head. After listening to it, it got stuck in my head... All night, I woke up with it in my head in the middle f the night. That is NOT normal after hearing it the first time.

After that I avoided it anytime it came on. And guess what? Everyone around me was either listening to it, singing it, or making it their ringtone. Even people who KNOW Kay Z is satanic and has all kind of programming shit in their songs.

It's a big scary world out there and we don't even know the half of it.

I did a presentation on gangsta rap for a research methods class--got an A+ on it. I described tupac and basically all the pioneers of gangsta rap and how, although they rap about violence, misogyny, etc., they had GOOD messages for change and exposed the rest of the world to the problems of the inner-city. And how they became integrated in to the white man's world...felt pretty good about myself after that presentation.

i know this might sound a bit strange, but i have this gift (or whatever you wanna call it) for discerning things, and i have watched the vid a few times now, stopping frame by frame to see the symbols and images. looks like a ritual similar to gagas message about mother monster. i get a vibe like a child is about to be born, and we all know who that's gonna be. lots of phallic and female symbols in there.

As a young man (20) I feel it is my job and calling to be an example to others my age and younger than me. My calling and higher standard from the Lord is to bring people to Love one another through being an example.. I'm glad I made this thread I have had a lot to think about today regarding the music industry.

This is probably the most low form of entertainment I have ever seen. "Don't let me get in my zone" how many times did he repeat that? Is that music to some people? How? I was told in high school that rap music was "poetry" or art or social commentary. However, I just can't seem to see any art in it at all. They play a sample of music over and over and then someone says really unintelligent words over the top of it. Popular rappers don't even bother trying to send a message of any sort. I'm always stunned at how unintelligent people become stars in the first place. Compare this to any classical piece of music and you can see why this "music" simply falls short. Unfortunately they must be making money and people must be enjoying it or it wouldn't exist. I think it really speaks to the times when this type of music is popular.

On a more positive note--this music video is EXCELLENT.

If you don't like this genre of music--I am sorry. But it has a great message. And although it is somewhat popular as far as the metal scene is concerned, it will NEVER achieve publicity from something like mtv...

There are hundereds of rappers/singers/rockers that talk about rape and murder, would that mean that they are rapists and murderers? It's all to do with marketing themselves, they can potentialy make millions from one single so they'd have to go about it the right way

I'm not going to assume that either of these two men are rapists or murderers, that would be completely idiotic. However, this is popular music, this isn't underground death metal or some other craziness. This is mainstream MTV type of stuff. I only listened to 3:05 onward but it seems like it's just about being famous and being good at rapping. That's hardly a song if you ask me. I supposed I could write a song about being rich and famous and "owning hot bitches" and suddenly become a millionaire? Probably.

Theres much more to it than just 'writing a song' and both of them obviously didn't start out rapping about how they were famous, they've started out underground and worked there way up. I can remember listening to Kanye West when he first came out and it's obvious that his prioritys have changed, he's been a muli-millionaire for around 10 years, what do you think he's going to rap about?

Sadly, when I was younger hip hop and rap was the cool thing and I got into it heavily. Like listening to it nonstop any time you can. I remember a quote from Jay Z. Don't know what song or anything.

Either the beats put together, the things they repeat over and over that are barely audible, or the spells they put on anyone who listens are what's changing your subconscious, shoot probably even all three put together. It's really chilling if you try to wrap your head around it....
