The first order of business is desensitization of the American public concerning gays and gay rights. To desensitize the public is to help it view homosexuality with indifference instead of with keen emotion. Ideally, we would have straights register differences in sexual preference the way they register different tastes for ice cream or sports games: she likes strawberry and I like vanilla; he follows baseball and I follow football. No big deal.

At least in the beginning, we are seeking public desensitization and nothing more. We do not need and cannot expect a full "appreciation" or "understanding" of homosexuality from the average American. You can forget about trying to persuade the masses that homosexuality is a good thing. But if only you can get them to think that it is just another thing, with a shrug of their shoulders, then your battle for legal and social rights is virtually won. And to get to shoulder-shrug stage, gays as a class must cease to appear mysterious, alien, loathsome and contrary. A large-scale media campaign will be required in order to change the image of gays in America.

And any campaign to accomplish this turnaround should do six things.

STEP 1: TALK ABOUT GAYS AND GAYNESS AS LOUDLY AND AS OFTEN AS POSSIBLE...

The deterioration of society is the fools who think the government should ever be involved in our personal sexual lives. This is completely preposterous. Who cares if you are gay? Why is that important to anyone? Why does the government have to be involved in everything we do? If two men want to get married why not let them? If a man wants to marry a horse why is that your business? The country isn't suddenly going to explode because 3 men marry horses. Kill the income tax and with it any incentives to get married for the tax break and then you are left with people who simply want to be married or marry a toaster or a horse.

Basically, homosexual people feel like they are not equal, to some extent they are completely correct. They can't get married which is preposterous. However, they don't just want to be like everyone else, but they want the government to enforce that everyone else like them and treat them extra special. If you punch a homosexual it isn't like punching a regular man, but it's actually a hate crime. It's extra illegal to hurt a homosexual person. It makes you wonder, why it's okay for the government to say it's extra illegal to hurt a homosexual, but they haven't passed national law stating they can get married, which I advocate such a law should not be passed.
