Capricorn One was funded by NASA, and even supplied props.

Could it get any more ridiculous for you folks?

You've been had.

Now you're just making stuff up. Other than providing a prototype lunar module (and how NASA was convinced to do that much I don't know), they had nothing to do with the movie.

lol, so you don't know why they were involved with the movie, yet you're sure they had nothing to do with it?

that is gold.

Well, according to this writeup, one of the producers had an "in" with NASA after working with them on Futureworld, and he was able to use it:

There's no mention of any financial cooperation, and I defy you to find any.

Re: Game Over for NASA Moon-Landing Hoax
Capricorn One is a 1977 science fiction thriller movie about a Mars landing hoax. It was written and directed by Peter Hyams and produced by Lew Grade's ITC Entertainment. It stars James Brolin, Sam Waterston and O. J. Simpson as astronauts.

Peter Hyams began thinking about a film of a space hoax while working on broadcasts of the Apollo missions for CBS. Hyams became a successful television writer and director and began writing the script for Capricorn One in the mid-1970s, but Peeper's failure jeopardized his career. Hyams and his friend, producer Paul Lazarus, were able to obtain the support of Lew Grade, head of production company ITC Entertainment, who agreed to a $4.8 million budget.[3]

To stay within the budget, NASA's cooperation was needed. Lazarus had a good relationship with the space agency from Futureworld. The filmmakers were thus able to obtain government equipment as props despite the negative portrayal of the space agency, including a prototype lunar module. The film was originally scheduled to debut in February 1978, but good preview screenings and delays in Superman caused it to move to June. Capricorn One became the year's most-successful independent film.[3]

This blows every other moon-hoax documentary out of the water.

Man went 230,000+ miles (460,000+ miles round trip!) into space in the 1960's. Since then, no country in the world has "had the budget" to go more than 400 miles into space. Are you effing kidding me??!!

Did you ApolloTards realize that lasers can be reflected off the natural lunar surface?

Where is your proof that the lasers are actually hitting retro-reflectors and not just bouncing off the surface?

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 8597527

It is interesting and you make a good point about reflections off the lunar surface. It's a bit odd to see such strident hostility to your post.

OTOH, it would be a big conspiracy involving hundreds of people and thus unlikely.

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic.

How is a conspiracy of silence by military/government employees unlikely ?

Is a "book deal" that shills are always ranting about worth prison time for violating a national security / non-disclosure agreement? (not to mention a whole host of other possible hostilities)

I don't understand how this myth about "someone would have talked if it was a conspiracy" got started. There is no supporting evidence for such a theory.

Compartmentalization is a pretty effective process as well. There are many people directly involved that don't have to know anything more than their one little duty.

Sand is reflective, or else we wouldn't see the moon at all. However you can't reflect a laser point off it and back, that requires something man made. Sure sand reflects light but who gives a shit because that's not the same thing as reflecting a laser and preserving its integrity.
 Quoting: Starwind

So you are saying it is impossible to reflect a laser off of anything natural?

Look, you think we couldn't have gone according to a bunch of nuts. They miss a LOT of information about the moon shots. First thing they miss, is the video proof FROM men that went there, of the far side. NOW how in the HELL do you fake that?

I just find it hard to believe that people think humans are NOT smart enough to do it. WTF?

All I can say is this:

ONLY STUPID PEOPLE THINK OTHERS ARE STUPID.
 Quoting: GeekOfTheWeek

how anyone can believe man set foot on the moon is fucking unbelieveable. there's MORE than enough evidence to prove that it's just not possible.

It was all filmed at Area 51, that's where everything is/was stored.

Plain and simple , we did not have the technology back then to get there, ffs.

It was all a dog-n-pony show, that's it.
