Then I realized the horrible things I was doing as a car salesman, and how the dealership was ripping me off on top of the customers. Now, I am building my skill set for teotwawki, probably gonna get another car job here soon too... Fuck Yea! |

Then all the servers at the Applebee's restaurants, will finally notice my facial disgust when I'm forced to eat there. They never get my order correct, the food preparation is crap, and it's awful to go there! I only go, because it's my fathers fav place to go. :( Dads in his 80's, so I let him pick lunch. I only only Caesar salad now, and that place still messes up my salad. Awful, awful place. |

Why would I go to TGI Fridays when for the same 15$ I can get any number of great entrees at local places where the money stays in the community? And that's not even getting into how much better the food is. |

Sometimes the kids are in the restaurant with her and its cute to see. She makes delicious food and Id rather support her than some big fat cat CEO sitting in his high rise. |

We were asked for our first names when we were seated so that our server could better serve us.... I've survived many years eating in restaurants without the server using my personal name... We gave fake names and got a good giggle out of every time the waitress tried to "personalize" our service... It didn't help her remember I said to keep the coffee coming... And it didn't keep our appetizer from coming out 2 mins. Before entree.... It did have an uncomfortable creepy factor... Thet should skip the psychology and work harder at executing the basics of good service. |

Iced tea at Applebees is $2 now where I live. The whole "Training in body language" is a depressing sign that, even though we live in larger communities, we've become moe disconnected from each other. "Reading" people was an innate skill most of us had in the '70's. I've noticed, as cable took hold, with more and more channels, we've lost it. The internet has killed it "deader" as well. (Yes, and I'm guilty posting about it on here.....It's like watching a show about weightloss on TV - it would be a problem if you'd spend the time walking instead of watching the stupid show.) WOW!!! Couldn't have said it better myself! Don't eat at any chain or fast food restaurants for a few months, then go and try one and see how crappy you feel afterward. And supporting locally owned businesses is a win-win situation. If you have a gripe at a smaller, locally owned place and you say something, it doesn't fall on deaf ears. ANY chain restaurant will just give you some condescending corporate crap and you're voice is meaningless. Eat at the Mom & Pops and every time you come in they'll remember your name, what you like, greet you with a smile and "hows the kids"? And they actually CARE about the food they buy, prepare and serve. PLUS your money stays in the community, compared to 65% of what you pay at the chain businesses that LEAVES the community. |

Just walk by and make eye contact, you can tell if they need you. Eye the drinks, any of them getting low and I make a mental note to get another the next time I go by the drink station. And don't try to grab plates to early, or ask if they need boxes, for fucks sake let people put down a fork for a few min and talk. There is cues to pick up on as to when they are done. Fuck Yea! |
