Why are most people so ugly?

looks are relative, some people's beauty on the outside is ugly to others, therefore, variety is the spice of life.

if you were in a car accident and had face lacerations or burns, and you were scarred and 'ugly' for the rest of your life, would you be able to function?

you will get old, your skin will get soft, furry, red, your looks will fade, your hormones will disappear, your sexuality will be nill, your hair will thin, so many things that will not be considered VOGUE attractive will overcome you. Will you still be worthy of breathing life? Will you still be worth listening to? Talking to? Eating the worlds food?

Of course, we value age because in many cases it brings wisdom, compassion and patiance.

people are worthy because they are people, this is the devine promise of God the creator.
people are saved by grace because of Jesus, not because they happened to have a couple of nice looking gams, dimples and shiny blonde hair.

society's defination of beauty changes. At one time, heavy women where considered attractive, with large breasts, soft heavy bellies and big butts. Why? they lived longer, they bred well, gave sons to their men, that was a woman worth trading a few horses for......

now beauty is defined by Hollywood (full of gays and pedofiles) and they show pictures of woman who are so skinny, with no breasts and hipbones sharply protruding. These woman are neither healthy, nor emotionally sane.

I cannot judge you, because I do not know you but by what you say. You seem narcississtic, self involved, and inlove with mirrors. Most people do 'nice' things for other people. You are not alone in that seat, so therefore you are not 'better' then anyone else in society's eye. You may be able to be a model, but that is all.

Instead of worrying about the world's looks, worry about what goodness you can continue to spread. Everyone is beautiful with a smile, make them smile, what can YOU do for them to help them make them beautiful to the world not to your niave shallow defination.

I was a good looking young woman once, 30 years ago. Could have any man I wanted, but chose my childhood sweetheart. As I had children, the looks faded. My skin became diseased with acne and scarred and pitted me, I had to be on acutane for a year. After that I bounced between depression and menapause. I spent years on medicanes and other things to get my looks back. I felt it made me more important to the world, and to my husband.

one day as I went to church, a huge church of people, mostly wealthy people who wear LOTS of makeup, fancy clothes and fancy cars. I said to myself, i don't want to look like a dress up barbie doll, trying to hide my scars, trying to look young again. I just want to be me, its good enough for God, it sure can be GOOD ENOUGH for these humans who look at me.

i haven't worn makeup since, I only wear it for occasions like weddings. I look at everyone now like they are beautiful, I don't judge them anymore. I try not too.

God got me to stop caring about what I saw in the mirror, and instead, looking to the heart of the person.

Being young forever is not going to happen, being beautiful and caring about it everyday is shallow, and judging others who were not blessed with the genetics of 'fair' looking people is not fair to them.

There but for the grace of God, go I.

I often wonder why some of the fat and ugly people that I encounter at times don't try to better themselves. I mean, you would think my mere presence alone would be enough to inspire them to try and do better. I don't like to brag about myself or anything but I am in phenomenal shape, am ruggedly handsome, and have a magnetic personality. Don't get me wrong, I always try to use these gifts in a positive way... you know, to inspire people to be more like me, but somehow there are far too many people who just can't seem to follow my example.

I chalk it up to that "ugliness inside" that you were talking about earlier. You see, I think that laziness is ugly. I am not lazy at all. In fact, if there is a word that means "the opposite of lazy" that's me. I have come to the realization over the years that people who aren't inspired by my physique, charm, and rugged good looks, are just plain lazy and are not worthy of my effort to help them to become more like me.

Sometimes you just have to accept the fact that there are people in this world who's DNA is just inferior to the DNA of people like ourselves. Try not to let it get you down. Just remember that we are members of a select group that is often referred to as "the beautiful people". It is our job to show our beauty, at every opportunity, whether people want to see it or not. If they are inspired to try to become beautiful themselves, great. If not, it's no big deal. We are beautiful and that is the important thing.

OP, you must be very young. You will learn as you mature that ugly on the outside doesn't mean ugly on the inside nor does pretty on the outside mean pretty on the inside. You will learn that a truly beautiful person doesn't obsess over her own beauty but tries to see some beauty or at least use in everything, and most importantly, she will have empathy for those less fortunate. If you were to be horribly disfigured in a fire, for example, would that make you less of a person? Too many people have their self-worth tied up in appearances and youth. If your heart is really into helping people, you help them...but don't pump your own ego by telling everyone how you helped someone in need - that's shallow.

There's a woman who I always try to help ... She is not fat but she would feel better if she was thiner ... I try to teach her how to eat and workout ... and for a while she did ... she was seeing good results and she was so happy and all but then she repeated her old behavior ... but yeah I do understand that I cannot expect other people to make the right choices... some people are weaker and some people are stronger.

There's a way to get a 10/10 body with relative ease.... cure a vegetable (with vegetables) and I suppose with stem cell technology and the film The Island restore lost body parts as well as genuine private part enhancement for both genders (as long as you don't mind fake boobs).

But I dunno how you'd cure an ugly face (unless something upgrades or replaces plastic surgery).

You're not too bright. Taking care of your appearance and taking care of your body are two different things. One relates to health, the other relates to aesthetics & packaging. Which is more important to you..the way a person looks or how healthy their body is? I'm gonna guess the latter is not so much of a big deal to you in the grand scheme of things. A person may not have curves in all the right places, it doesn't mean they're not taking care of themselves. Genetics play a huge role in how a person is shaped, how their bodies look.

The latest fashions, haircuts, putting makeup on like bondo..these are things that are not important to many people. It doesn't diminish their value or make them ugly, on the contrary, they tend to be the people that shine from the inside because they are not shallow bitches. Their concerns lie elsewhere..on things that are much more important than on decorating a temporary vessel.
