CRIME WAVE STRIKES SMALL SLEEPY TOWN IN MOUNTAINS OF NC

Police in Spruce Pine NC are investigating a series of break-ins from overnight. They say 9 businesses in the Sky View Circle shopping center were hit, as well a Chevrolet dealership next door. Investigators say in each case the thieves cut the phone lines to the business, and then pried open the back door. No arrests have been made, but investigators say they are looking for two suspects based on surveillance video. News 13's Sherrill Barber will have the latest from investigators and business owners who were hit tonight at 5:30pm.
