God protects those individuals like Jacob, who choose the birthright. No spiritual blessings are ever inherited, as all people must choose the Lord. There are absolutely no exceptions, and obviously the Lord does not bless whole countries or groups. He blesses choices that show love and respect for all.

Just because worldly people take on the name Israel in no way means they can then take on the blessings and protection of the Lord.
